Look your best for you
At my heaviest I was 193 lbs. Even at such a heavy weight for my height I truly didn't know that I was “PHAT”. I had a great self image, had zero problems attracting a man and was shapely still being able to wear what I wanted. Yet, outside forces moved in; a friend called me voluptuous which is a trumped up term for overweight, I was referred to as the “big” sister, my 125lb sister said I was 3 times her size and I was even asked if I thought about getting gastric bypass (which I was clearly not a candidate for).
Although my self image was grand, others around me made me feel as if I needed to make a change. Always being into working out I pumped it up, changed my eating habits and completed a lifestyle overhaul that led me to not only lose weight but also to obtaining a degree in personal training eventually starting Phyt Gurl.
At my lightest in years at 134 lbs. Now friends openly referred to me as a bobble head and let me know I was “too small”, I was told I was obsessed with working out, a stranger in the store approached me saying if I purchase the Slim fast meals that i was looking at that I was gonna disappear and people always questioned my eating. The truth is either way you will never win. Obviously being healthy is the most important goal but if you know your risk factors are low, don't let anyone body shame you...be the best you for you!
